Specs and warranty terms from Tornado's 2026 product catalog and spec sheets (tornadovac.com). Warranty shows years on parts / labor. The BD 26/20 weight is before batteries; the Strike and Zephyr weights include the battery, which is sold separately (no battery). The Deluxe CVD uprights and Pac-Vac 6 are CRI Gold certified, the Roam CRI Bronze. The BD 26/20 and WindShear Downdraft also carry 10 years on roto-molded parts. Run times are Tornado's figures and vary with floor type and settings. Defective products will be processed through the manufacturer's warranty policy.

Tornado questions we get at the counter
Is Tornado a commercial brand?
Yes. Tornado has built commercial cleaning equipment since 1927, when it started as Breuer Electric in Chicago. It has been part of Tacony Corporation since 2007 and is based in Fenton, Missouri.
What warranty comes with a Tornado machine?
It depends on the machine. The CVD uprights, Pac-Vac 6, Strike and Zephyr carry 4 years on parts and 2 years on labor. The Vortex, Microburst, Roam and TV 2 SS carry 2 years on parts and 2 years on labor. The BD 26/20 carries 4 years on parts and 2 on labor. WindShear blowers carry 1 year. Batteries have their own terms. Defective products will be processed through the manufacturer's warranty policy.
Which Tornado scrubber should I buy?
The Microburst is the smallest: 40 pounds, a 17.5-inch path and a lithium battery, made to replace a mop and bucket in restrooms and kitchens. The Vortex 18 scrubs hard floors and soft ones like rubber gym mats, entrance mats and escalators. The BD 26/20 is a walk-behind disk scrubber for large open floors, with a 20-gallon solution tank.
Do the cordless models come with a battery?
The Roam comes with its battery and charger. The Microburst includes its charger, but its battery (part MB027) is sold separately. The Strike and Zephyr share Tornado's 36V cordless battery, which is sold separately with its charger.
Can you repair my Tornado?
Yes. Bring it to our service center at 4585 Poth Road in Whitehall, or call (800) 886-8227 to set up service. We quote the repair before we start.
